A Baby Box Bag is a gift from the community to any new-born in the Queenstown Lakes District, no strings attached.
The Queenstown Lakes Baby Box Charitable Trust was established in 2016 and is run entirely by volunteers. We gave out our first Baby Box in late 2018 and since then, we have delivered over 1000 boxes to new families. In mid 2022, we switched our boxes to reusable bags.
Our Mission is to GIVE a Baby Box Bag to all newborns in the Queenstown Lakes District. Our vision is to CONNECT our people, our place and the services that are available with all families to support a happy, healthy and connected community.
Our organisation is run by a group of community-minded volunteers. We are grateful for support from our community to help us fill the Baby Box Bags and welcome the gift of time from volunteers, knitting, quilting.
